#4 Yellow 1991

1991.I was a young mom, my baby Rubi was 3 months old. I have come to a real crossroads in my life where I had to make a decision regarding priorities and how I am going to make ends meet. There was a lot I didn't know, but I knew I wanted to be a present , hands on mom above all. I knew I couldn't afford to pay someone else to do that job.

I also  knew I loved drawing and painting . So I went and bought a large roll of fabulous textured paper and some oil paint and I painted 6 large paintings in 6 weeks, in between Breast feeding and changing nappies . From then on I was committed and rolling forward.

I enjoyed working on this large painting, although it almost mono tone, it is sunny and spacious
