We settled in Scarborough in 1991 . I was, still am, so taken by how well acclimatized is the fynbos to the winds and the harsh weather conditions.
I also began exploring the given format of the painting , playing with how the "subject" sits in the frame.
I found that fascinating, where the painting is challenging its boundaries.
