#529 Who can find a woman of valor? 2010

This painting is close to my heart. Here is my mothers mom, in her finery, when she was 11, arranged to marry. So much innocence and hope in her young eyes, in her flowers. She bore 11 children and lived through 2 world wars. Life was hard, she used to wake up at 4am and bake bread,(no electricity) hand wash (no running water), my mom told me with pride they all had clean white socks to go to school. Here she is , with the famous pray that every husband praises his wife every Friday night. How Wonderful she is, how capable and clever...

thankfully women have come a long way since then , we are growing, remembering our heritage.
