Slangkop (Snake head) light house is a cast iron tower commissioned by Sir Francis Hely Hutchinson ( Governor of the Cape of Good Hope),after the Kakapo Steamer run aground in 1900. Its construction was due to be completed in 1914, but due to the first world war it was only completed in 1919. It is the tallest(33 meters) and one of the oldest in the country, ranges 53km !

I enjoyed studying this light house, it has many stories, faces and moods , here in the fog .
