#118 Silvi at breakfast Langebaan 2001

I settled on the narrow gravel path in front of this quaint old house, in this small fishermen's village on the banks of Langebaan lagoon, sketching away. Every now and then a busy lady popped out the house and watered the garden with her dish washing water, she must have thought me strange, sitting there on the ground, in the heat of the day, drawing away..by the time i was done she got over her shyness and invited ne to share her breakfast on the cool stoep..dry salty crackers, butter and jam, never tasted as good.. this is how I met Silvi..

Sold the original to some dentist in JHB..Go figure..
